What started out as an innocent play on words soon became fraught with liability. When this project was brought to me, it was decided that the key art would have to be altered and adjusted to avoid copyright infringement litigation. We chose to continue down the path that the original art proposes, but, with an eye towards including a more feminine feel. The product already tested well with female demographics and we leaned into that while at the same time navigating out of a challenging legal zone.
